What is Money Movers?

Money Movers is a cooperative puzzle platformer where you help two prisoners escape a high-security facility by controlling both characters across cleverly designed levels. The two prisoners have different physical abilities - one is larger and stronger, the other more agile - and many puzzles require coordinating both characters simultaneously. One holds a switch open while the other passes through. One creates a stepping platform for the other to reach a higher ledge. The cooperation mechanic is what gives the game its distinctive character.

How to Play Money Movers

You control both characters either simultaneously or by switching between them. Each character has their own set of movement controls, allowing skilled players to move both at once for efficient level navigation. Most puzzles require positioning one character in a specific spot - holding a button, activating a mechanism, or standing on a pressure plate - while the other character performs an action that requires that mechanism to be active. Completing each room requires moving both characters to the exit, not just one.

Character Abilities and Puzzle Design

The larger prisoner can move heavy objects and reach lower buttons that the smaller one cannot press. The smaller prisoner is more nimble and can fit through gaps that the larger one cannot. Levels are specifically designed to require both capabilities - a door that only the big character can open might lead to a passage only the small one can fit through. This mutual dependency means neither character is redundant, and neither can complete the escape without the other's specific contribution.

Guards and Stealth Elements

Security guards patrol the facility and must be avoided or dealt with. Each character can knock out a guard they approach from behind, but walking into a guard from the front ends the attempt. The guard positions and patrol routes become additional puzzle elements - you need to route both characters through the level in ways that avoid or neutralise the guards, adding a spatial planning layer on top of the cooperative mechanics. Timing movements around patrol cycles is essential in later levels.

Solo vs Two-Player Options

Money Movers can be played solo by one person controlling both characters, or in two-player mode where each person controls one prisoner using different keyboard zones. The two-player experience changes the game significantly - coordination challenges that require split-second timing become conversations between players about who does what and when. Communication failures and perfect executions are both equally memorable and make co-op sessions genuinely social.
